Company history
 
Above The Rest Homebrewing literally started in the basement of our house back in 1993. In 1994 Above The Rest Homebrewing opened our doors at a commercial location in Tigard at the Tigard Plaza Shopping Center, moving into a 500 sq. ft. suite, where we stayed till 1996. We then moved into a 1000 sq. ft. suite and have recently added another 500 sq. ft. classroom/store room next door. Dr.Doug, a Tigard area Dentist and one of our very first customers found ATR in the yellow pages 17 years ago. He first visited the shop in Steve and Sharon's basement and has been a well loved client making wine ever since.

Above The Rest Homebrewing is proud to have been able to hire Matt Machado.
Matt comes to us from Klamath Falls, OR. where he ran Basin Brewing Supply for 2 years.
Matt has been brewing many styles of beers for about 5 years with a passion for Session beers and Sour Ales.
Starting as most homebrewers with extracts. Matt has become very proficient at All Grain Batches  also.
So come on by and do the meet and greet to welcome him to town.
 
 
 
Katyra Stratton is our niece and newest edition to the Above The Rest Family.  
Although she has been brewing for only a short time, she is a sponge when it comes to
learning and has been in and out of the shop for years expanding her knowledge each time.
She has been going through the entire shop reorganizing and relableing for the new scanner. HOP on over and welcome her back to the shop....
